Delicious Dream House

I ran across my dream house in a picture of a now-defunct Santa's Village in California while doing some research (or perhaps the term would be "procrastinating").
I immediately started to daydream about how fabulous it would be to live in a house like that, and was mentally picking out drapes and a sofa when I learned that Davis did not share this dream-house dream. What? How could anyone not want to live in a mock confection?!? I calmed myself down with the knowledge that I'd probably have plenty of time to bend him to my will before we actually have an opportunity to buy a sugar-shack like this one.

Closer to home is the Swiss Miss Sweet-Tart shown below. I've always admired its insistence on standing out amid the white modular ranch homes that surround it. It's kind of the plain cousin of Santa's Gingerbread House above, so Davis and I have taken to calling it Santa's Gardening Shed.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures of little houses of my own soon. Like I said in the last post - that winter wonderland is slooooooow going.

If you ever come to Washington, you should swing by Leavenworth.

It's an alleged Bavarian village that makes Americans squee and Germans run screaming.

That top house scares me. I feel like I might end up in the oven if I stepped foot in there.
