The Mad Scientist's Ball



It's official, Halloween is wasted on the young.
Our sci-fi themed gala was a lot of work, but the grown-ups definitely appreciated it. We had a Jacob's Ladder, glowing test tubes, specimens in jars, and showings of classic sci-fi films like Metropolis and The Mask of Fu Manchu going on in the background.
Of course, by the time Halloween actually rolled around we were pretty much over it. We just didn't have it in us to put on another show. Instead of The Driveway of Terror, we gave them....

Augh. I feel, sort-of, almost, trepidated. Or whatever.

I can't wait to see pictures of the adult blast -- or was it too much fun to document?

It was a bit too much fun for ME to document, apparently, but Mary Jane did a great job taking pictures (thanks MJ!).

I was torn about showing photos. There were some fabulous costumes, but I ultimately decided I shouldn't publish the photos without getting everyone's permission. You can imagine how long you'd have had to wait for that post!
