Another Pouffy Skirt

It's made with some vintage fabric that I had on hand and didn't have a lot of, so this one uses less than last month's circle skirt. It's more of a 2/3 circle skirt (a 240 degree skirt?). I think I prefer this shape to the full circle since there's less material swirling around trying to bunch up in unfortunate places.
My favorite part of the skirt is the trim I used on the hem. It's made with bias tape that I ran through the sewing machine using the shell stitch setting with the tension jacked way up to give it that scallopy effect. Then I sewed the trim to the base of the skirt and used it to turn the hem, cutting out the gazillion-plus hours spent carefully measuring and ironing the creases that sucked away my youth during the previous project. I still needed to hand stitch the other edge of the trim to the skirt, but it was easy and went quickly.
I wore the skirt yesterday, and anyone who made the mistake of commenting on it was subjected to having that trim thrust upon them with the demand that they admire it, which was followed up with a lengthy explanation of how it was done. Glazed eyes and bored expressions have no effect on me!

I am eager for the live presentation of said trim. You could soliloquize for hours and I could listen to more...I love trim, especially that nifty trim!

Very clever trimming! I'm impressed! Laziness, no -- efficiency, is the mother of invention.

What an adorable skirt! The trim is so clever. There's a petticoat under the skirt, right? Oh, so, so pretty.
